Volunteers

Volunteers are the very heart of Friends Club. We are blessed with a wonderful group of caring and talented individuals who serve as our volunteers.  The volunteers not only help with the day-to-day running of Friends Club, they become friends to our members as they help them through this portion of their journey that is Alzheimer’s. They experience each member’s highs and lows.  Our volunteers are there with words of encouragement to help someone through a bad day, and they are there to share in the laughter that so often permeates our group.  Friends Club could not exist without them.

Are you interested in volunteering for Friends Club? Friends Club is committed to bringing laughter and joy to our members and much needed respite to our caregivers. The club could not operate without our dedicated, hardworking volunteers. It is vital that Friends Club continue to recruit and train volunteers. A few hours, one day per week, will enrich the life of the volunteer and the lives of men in our club. Training is provided.

Friends Club

Friends Club brings together active gentlemen in the early-to-mid stages of Alzheimer’s disease in a caring, safe and secure environment.  Our program is specially designed to meet the social and emotional needs of men who are experiencing memory loss due to diagnosed dementia.  We are a non-profit, non-sectarian organization.
